		FTMC Maple City Triathlon Join the City of Norwalk Parks & Recreation Department for the 4th Annual FTMC Maple City Triathlon presented by Fisher Titus Medical Center. The course will be set at their beautiful Veteran’s Memorial Lake Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Run Wild Racing will be teaming up with us to provide race day management for the event along with accurate chip timing. This is a great race for first time triathletes, as it is set in a non-competitive environment. They are also providing a social aspect to this event by offering a good old fashion cook-out style buffet and awards ceremony following the race for athletes, families, and friends. The park houses three reservoirs for fishing, walking trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, and playground areas for the kids. Field is limited to 300 participants! Distance: Date & Time: Saturday, August 07, 2010 @ 8:00 A.M. Location: Veteran’s Memorial Lake Park - Norwalk, Ohio 44857 Awards: There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the event with awards going to the top male and female overall and the top three in each age group and relay categories. Race Divisions: Awards are for men & Women: 15 - 17, 18 - 19, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 and older, Clydesdales (Men 200 lbs +), Athena's (Women 150 lbs +) and Two & Three Person Team Relays Entry Fees: Solo is $40 until the deadline of August 5th, 2 person team is $65 until the deadline of August 5th and 3 person team is $95 until the deadline of August 5th: NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION and field is limitied to 300 participants Packet Pickup: Veteran’s Memorial Lake Park Norwalk, Ohio 44857 (419) 663-6775 ext. 30 at the following times: Friday 08/06 - Saturday 08/07 Packet Pickup Hours are Friday, August 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday August 7th from 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. AMB Chip Pick-Up: AMB Chip pickup is on race day from 6:00 A.M. - 7:45 A.M. You must wear a chip in order to be timed and receive results after the event. Lost or non-returned chips will result in a $100.00 charge. Race Packets: Entry Fee includes the following: T-shirt, Goodie Bag, Race, Post Race Recovery Food, Drinks, Chip Timing and a Post Race Lunch (cookout). Certification Information:



	Course Information: A triangle loop 800 yard swim followed by a 18 mile loop bike course that is very flat and cross country 5K Run. Directions: Veteran’s Memorial Lake Park: From the West: Take Rt. 20 west until you come to Rt. 18 (exit). Take a left at the top of the ramp towards town. Take a left on Old State Rd. You will see entrance to the north end of the park on your left. From the East: turn right onto Rt. 18 off of Rt. 20 and follow above directions. From the North: Take 250 South until you reach Main Street in Norwalk. Take a left on Main Street. Follow Main Street until it splits into Rt. 61 and Rt. 20/18. Follow Rt. 20/18 (to the right). Follow Rt. 18 to Old State Rd.. Take a right on Old State Road and follow until you reach the North Entrance to the park. From the South: Take Rt. 250 North until you reach Main Street in Norwalk. Take a right on Main and follow the directions from the North. Ohio Turnpike: Take to Rt. 250, exit towards Norwalk, and follow above directions.
