The Rules:
- To qualify for the Grand Prix Series RANDOM prizes, participants must COMPLETE 6 or more of the 10 events and be over 18 years of age.
- The AMB Timing Chip must be worn along with the race bib number at each event. (Chip goes around the ankle)
- Cutting the course or running / race walking outside the course boundaries may result in disqualification from that event and forfeiture of event points.
- No baby joggers, headphones or pets allowed on the courses per USATF Sanction guidelines.
- RACE WALKERS must walk the entire course in each event; If a race walker is seen Running or Jogging, they will be placed in their respective age group category for the remainder of the series. Course monitors will be present at these events.
- Your age group category / division will be based on your age on the day of the first Grand Prix event. Meaning if you start the season at 34 years of age and your birthday is May 15th; your age group category for the series will be 30-34, even though you will be 35 on May 15th.
- Clydesdale weight qualifications: Men must be OVER 200lbs and Women MUST be over 150lbs. (Random weigh-ins will take place throughout the season)
- Awards at the end of the series will be based on 10 of 10 events, meaning all races count towards the series standings. (NOTE: If a participant misses an event, the participant will take a 0 for the event.)
Special Series Packets:
- Participants can register for each race one at a time.
- Every participant that completes 6 events will receive a 2008 Columbus Grand Prix series technical shirt.
- The first 100 participants to register for 6 or more events in the 2008 Columbus Grand Prix Series will receive a high-quality heavyweight sweatshirt.
- Any participant that registers for all 10 events will receive a pair of technical socks and a complementary entry into the Holiday Run at Sharon Woods on December 14th, 2008
- Registering for the series equals 6 or more of the 10 events.
- Special series goodies will be available in April of 2008 or when the participant qualifies for the item.
- Each event will have its own goodie bag to be picked up prior to that event.
- The AMB Timing Chip needs to be picked up the morning of each event.

Series Entry Fees:
- The race entry fees will range from $20.00 to 50.00 depending on the race distance.
- To qualify for a MULTI-RACE discount, you must register for 6 or more races at one time before the first event.
- You will be able to register for each event individually, but at the normal race entry fee.
- The Multi-Race discount is $1.00 off each event.

Series Prizes/Giveaways:
- 2008 Columbus Grand Prix series random prizes are still in work and will be announced at a later time
The 2008 Columbus Grand Prix Awards ceremony will be combined with the Ohio Multi-sport Award ceremony, which will be a black tie affair on in Late November to early December, so stay tuned for the update on the ceremony location and info.
Awards:
- Per Event: Each event has individual category awards, so look at each race for this information.
- Series: The top 5 participants in each division will receive series awards. (NOTE: There is a FIVE RACE minimum requirement to qualify for a series award)
The Divisions:
- Men’s / Women’s Age Groups (11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+)
- Race Walkers (MUST walk the entire time, meaning NO RUN/WALK)
- Cruisers (men 200 lbs+ & women 150lbs+)(Will be weighed randomly throughout the series)
